The Aaron Name

In Exodus 17, when the Amalekites were attacking the Israelites, whenever Moses held up his hands and rod, Joshua and his men prevailed. But, when Moses lowered his hands and rod, the Amalekites began to overtake the Israelites. “12 But Moses’ hands became heavy; so [Aaron and Hur] took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword” [New King James Version].

In this way the name "Aaron" is beautifully connected with our calling because just like Aaron and Hur, we too are here to support leaders and lift their hands high. Every initiative we undertake, ever plan we make, everything we do is aimed at supporting leaders so they can win the battle. Additionally, many theologians believe Moses’ rod, the “Rod of God”, was a symbol of leadership. We’ve incorporated this symbolism into our logo with a rod connecting the 2 A’s in Aaron.

Through encouraging, focusing, and equipping leaders our goal is that they would be healthy leaders, that lead healthy churches, that transform communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
